Jalan Raya Palima Pasang Teneng merupakan ruas yang menghubungkan Kabupaten Serang dengan Kota Cilegon . Sebagai jalan penghubung, ruas jalan ini tentu saja membuka keterisoliran daerah yang dilalui dan juga membuka peluang peningkatan ekonomi pada kedua wilayah, selain itu banyak dilalui oleh pekerja dan pelajar. Dengan kondisi jalan yang memiliki beberapa alinemen horizontal dan alinement vertikal, peluang terjadinya kecelakaan sangat mungkin, sehingga untuk meminimalisir terjadinya kecelakaan , dilakukan analisis desain geometric pada kondisi eksisting STA 30+000 sampai dengan STA 34+000 mengacu pada Pedoman Bina Marga 1997 tentang Tata Cara Perencanaan Geometrik Jalan Antar Kota No. 038/ TBM/ 1997. Jalan Raya Palima-Pasang Teneng termasuk dalam klasifikasi jalan kolektor primer kelas jalan IIA, lebar perkerasan 2x3,75 m dengan perkerasan kaku. Dengan kecepatan rencana 60 km/jam, analisis geometrik dilakukan tikungan IP-1 (Spiral-Circle-Spiral), tikungan IP-6 ( Full Circle), dan tikungan IP-7 (Spiral-Spiral).
