With the development of social media, such as Twitter and MicroBlog, sentiment analysis becomes a quite useful tool for mining the subjective emotion information from the text, which may have important applications in product information feedback, commodity recommendation algorithms, public opinion monitoring, hot event tracking and so on. Though there are many relevant types of research about sentiment analysis, the relevant surveys are not perfect or do not cover the current new methods. Therefore, this survey provides an overview of sentiment analysis to summarize and review the recent methods and resources.
