O objeto de estudo deste artigo é o espectador no âmbito escolar. A discussãopermeia o contexto da contemporaneidade diante da proliferação de propostas distintas nas artescênicas, ressaltando a diversidade das propostas de encenação hoje, que inevitavelmente são osespetáculos que chegam até os alunos. Analiso as implicações referentes a tal recepção econseqüentemente a problemática do professor ao mediar com seus alunos tais encenações.Posteriormente, a discussão aborda possibilidades para o ofí­cio do professor, com reflexõesacerca da recepção de espetáculos teatrais e das atividades em sala de aula.PALAVRAS-CHAVE: recepção, ensino do teatro, espectador.
