Abstract
Durante los últimos años, el equipo investigador pudo diagnosticar, a través de la observación directa, cómo a los niños y jóvenes del cabildo indígena el Guaimaro ubicado en el Municipio de Sampués, Sucre, perteneciente a la etnia Zenú, y al cabido mayor de San Andrés de Sotavento, han perdido el interés por aprender los oficios y tradiciones ancestrales recibidos de sus mayores. Por el contrario, se han dedicado a los video juegos, las redes sociales, entre otras actividades que poca relación tienen con su identidad cultural. En asocio con algunos miembros de dicha comunidad, se decidió, a través del plan de vida, rescatar los valores tradicionales, a través de la enseñanza de las técnicas para continuar con la tradición de producir piezas artesanales únicas que sirvan como elementos potencialmente comerciales, a través del uso del Internet, lo que contribuye a mejorar la calidad de los integrantes de dicha comunidad. Para ello, se implementaron una serie de intervenciones pedagógicas integrando los niños, los jóvenes, con sus mayores, para facilitar un flujo de la información ancestral conducente a la siembra y mantenimiento de la caña flecha, que es la materia prima en la elaboración del sombrero vueltiao y todo tipo de tejidos artesanales que sirven como referentes para hacer bolsos y tapetes; la forma utilizada para techar sus casas y para trabajar otro tipo de materiales biosustentables que son la base de la cultura y lo que le da un valor agregado a este tipo de artesanías y facilita su comercialización y su difusión global.
