Abstract
Das vorliegende Werk präsentiert eine detaillierte Darstellung des français acadien auf der Isle Madame im Nordosten der kanadischen Provinz Neuschottland. Das Werk schließt auf Grund seiner präzisen soziolinguistischen und morphosyntaktischen Beschreibung des parler auf dieser Insel eine Lücke in der Forschungsliteratur. Sowohl der soziolinguistische als auch der morphosyntaktische Hauptteil werden durch Beispiele aus einem umfangreichen Sprachkorpus illustriert. Zahlreiche Verweise auf die Diachronie komplettieren die ausführliche Studie und lassen das Werk zu einer interessanten Basis für weitergehende vergleichende Forschung im Bereich des Französischen Nordamerikas werden. Cette œuvre présente une vue détaillée du français acadien de l’Isle Madame, située dans le Nord-Est de la province canadienne de Nouvelle-Écosse. Grâce à ses descriptions sociolinguistiques et morphosyntaxiques précises du parler de cette île, l’œuvre contribue à combler une lacune de la recherche scientifique. Les deux parties principales, l’une sociolinguistique, l’autre morphosyntaxique, sont très bien illustrées par les exemples tirés d’un vaste corpus linguistique. Les nombreux renvois à la diachronie complètent cette étude exhaustive et font de cet ouvrage un point de départ intéressant pour de futures analyses comparatives dans le domaine du français nord-américain.
