Abstract

The breeding and production of cattle have been part of the history of the human being through the centuries, taking place with a diversity of breeds in different regions worldwide, from the coldest climates in Canada, to the warmest climates in the African continent. For that reason, cows, bulls, steers, heifers and calves have had to adapt their bodies to survive in different climates and systems used for breeding. Cattle are exposed to heat, cold, rainy and windy conditions which may cause discomfort and stress in cattle.
