O PROTAGONISMO DA ENFERMAGEM NO INCENTIVO AO ALEITAMENTO MATERNO: UMA REVISÃO BIBLIOGRÁFICA

Abstract
Introdução: O aleitamento materno configura-se uma fase imprescindível para o binômio mãebebê, trazendo benefícios significativos para os mesmos.Apesar de estudos apontarem sua importância como a prevenção de morbidades, desenvolvimento do bebê e o fortalecimento do vínculo afetivo, dados divulgados pela organização mundial da saúde demonstram que menos da metade dos recém-nascidos são amamentados.Diante disso, a enfermagem configura-se de suma importância no incentivo a adesão e na promoção da educação em saúde, haja vista a necessidade do apoio nesse período repleto de benefícios e dificuldades, sendo a assistência destes profissionais indispensável considerando a exclusividade da amamentação dos primeiros seis meses de vida e os obstáculos que podem aparecer nesta fase tão singular e importante para mãe e o bebê.Objetivo: identificar na literatura cientifica a relevância da assistência de enfermagem na adesão ao aleitamento materno.Metodologia: Trata-se de uma Revisão bibliográfica realizada a partir da associação dos Descritores em Ciências da Saúde (DeCS) "Amamentação" and "Assistência de Enfermagem" and "Educação em Saúde".Como fonte de dados, foram utilizadas as plataformas virtuais SCIELO, LILACS e BDENF.Para compor o estudo, foram selecionados artigos acessos na integra, publicado nos últimos cinco anos e escritos no idioma português.Resultados: Foram encontrados cinquenta artigos, dos quais, quatorze artigos, atendiam aos critérios de inclusão do estudo, sendo um da BDENF, onze do LILACS e um do SCIELO.Conclusão: os resultados encontrados afirmam a enfermagem como um elemento essencial no incentivo para o aleitamento materno e evidenciam o impacto do processo de assistência para sua adesão.
