Abstract
El propósito de este estudio consiste en describir el perfil del estudiante en cuanto a la lectura y escritura de géneros discursivos en el nivel universitario de la carrera de Pedagogía de la Lengua y Literatura. La investigación se realizó utilizando una metodología cuantitativa y un diseño no experimental de corte transversal. Se aplicó un muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia a 240 estudiantes universitarios. Los resultados obtenidos sugieren que es necesario que se impartan asignaturas específicas que se dediquen a la formación en lectura y escritura de géneros discursivos en los planes de estudio de los grados universitarios. Además, se debe concientizar a los docentes universitarios sobre la importancia que tiene la lectoescritura en la planificación de los contenidos y la en la atención que se debe brindar.
