Abstract

Neste artigo, proponho-me a uma aproximação à performance Axexê da Negra ou o descanso das mulheres que mereciam serem amadas, de Renata Felinto. Trabalho e localizo a performance conceitualmente, interpretando-a através de registros fotográficos e de um relato do público, na companhia das leituras de Grada Kilomba, Michel-Rolph Trouillot e Walter Benjamin. Em seguida, elaboro um mergulho histórico sobre os retratos de mulheres negras amas-de-leite, realizados no século XIX, a partir dos estudos de Sandra Koutsoukos. Por fim, estabeleço relações entre a performance e outras produções artísticas contemporâneas que atravessam o tema das experiências de maternidades, bem como abordo o lugar da arte na subversão e revolta de arquivos e narrativas no entrelace do presente com o passado, e vice-versa.
