Abstract
La formation professionnelle initiale est la filière suivie par 64% des jeunes Suisse après la scolarité obligatoire. Bien que le domaine du commerce de détail soit le troisième plus grand fournisseur de places de formation, il fait souvent office de dernier choix et affiche un taux de résiliation de contrat de formation élevé. Le but de la présente étude était d’examiner de quelle manière la motivation durant la formation et selon la théorie de l’autodétermination de Deci et Ryan est associée au parcours formatif préalable et au projet professionnel. Un échantillon de 280 apprenti·es a répondu à un questionnaire sur les formations antérieures, la motivation durant leur formation, le projet professionnel et des données sociodémographiques. Par des modèles de régressions linéaires multiples, nous observons que les formations antérieures n’ont de liens significatifs ni avec la motivation développée durant la formation ni avec le projet professionnel. Cependant la motivation, notamment de type autonome, explique en partie l’intention de résilier le contrat de formation professionnelle initiale et l’intention d’un projet professionnel dans le domaine du commerce de détail.
