Abstract
L’auteur défend l’hypothèse selon laquelle le rapport de Proust au langage ne peut être envisagé sans la médiation du personnage complexe de Françoise. Partant du constat de la centralité des figures féminines dans La Recherche, le présent essai identifie trois manifestations centrales du langage chez Proust : la structure, le rapport à la vérité et la fonction accompagnatrice. Peut-on relire l’écrivain à la lumière des théories du care ? Quel sens attribuer à l’évolution de Françoise ? En se situant en marge d’une « théorie du sujet qui articule de façon nouvelle et cohérente différents aspects de l’être-au-monde » (Leriche, 2004), cet article pose la question de la structure relationnelle qui sous-tend l’univers diégétique de La Recherche. Il s’agit du premier essai dans une série s’intéressant au problème du langage chez Proust.
