Abstract
Este artículo busca un acercamiento a la pregunta que nos propone Orlando Plaza, el editor de este libro, sobre cómo vemos y entendemos el cambio social desde la experiencia de investigación que tenemos los sociólogos del Departamento de Ciencias Sociales de la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. Esta pregunta me lleva a situar la aproximación que he tomado para este artículo en mi trayectoria de investigación, a manera de introducción para entrar al tema de los cambios en la religión y en los valores medidos a través de la Encuesta Mundial de Valores en América Latina.
