Abstract
À partir de l’exemple de la catégorie « homosexuels », cet article montre l’intérêt de l’oeuvre de Colette Guillaumin pour l’étude des catégories « de sexualité » ou « d’orientation sexuelle ». Portant surtout sur les notions de « race » et de « sexe », ses travaux sont peu mobilisés à cette fin. Ils présentent néanmoins de précieuses contributions pour dénaturaliser les catégories de sexualité. Et pour penser, en retour, leur naturalisation par le discours comme effet et moyen de rapports de pouvoir concrets. Par ailleurs, ils peuvent former un cadre pour examiner les stratégies actuelles de résistance à la catégorisation. L’article présente brièvement deux exemples de ces discours de résistance. Il explore ensuite les apports théoriques de Guillaumin pour penser la (dé)construction de la catégorie « homosexuels ».
