Le dossier Machines et imaginaires musicaux (1900–1950) / Machines and the Musical Imagination (1900–1950) conçoit une réflexion autour de trois axes sur les rapports entre la musique et les machines au début du XXe siècle : 1) la spécificité de cette époque dans l’histoire de la représentation des machines en musique; 2) les topoï de cette transposition; 3) la complexité des interactions entre machines, musique et société.
