Abstract
Dans cet article, nous nous interrogeons sur la manière dont le développement de l’industrie extractive a contribué à la propagation des violences et des dynamiques conflictuelles au Burkina Faso. Pour mieux saisir ces dynamiques, nous nous intéressons à la manière dont les groupes armés transnationaux actifs au Sahel, concurrençant l’autorité centrale des États, s’appuient sur les griefs des populations pour élargir leurs bassins de recrutement et favoriser leur intégration sociale et territoriale. Nous analysons également les liens entre ressources naturelles et conflits armés, puis le processus de rupture avec l’autorité centrale, avant d’appréhender directement l’élargissement des bassins de recrutement des groupes armés dans la région burkinabè du Sahel.
