Abstract
O objetivo do artigo é investigar as práticas de governança corporativa e compliance da Eletrobrás, se apoiando em conceitos da teoria da agência. Para tanto, foi realizada pesquisa qualitativa, utilizando o método Delphi com 13 especialistas que responderam ao questionário que buscou investigar a relação entre a performance da companhia e melhores práticas da governança corporativa decorrentes da aplicação da Lei 13.303/2016. Os resultados mostram que, apesar da tardia implantação da governança, houve aumento da participação de conselheiros independentes na composição do Conselho de Administração, gerando aumento da transparência e profissionalização das decisões e diminuição da concentração de poder.
