Abstract
Malgré l’insécurité alimentaire persistante chez les moins de 18 ans au Canada, le pays n’a pas déployé de programme d’alimentation scolaire, comparativement aux autres pays du G7. Le présent article cherche à identifier les composantes d’un environnement capabilisant favorable au déploiement d’un programme canadien d’alimentation scolaire. Plus spécifiquement, l’accent sera mis sur les capabilités personnelles des parents. Les données démontrent qu’au-delà des caractéristiques socioéconomiques et politiques, il faut considérer les capabilités personnelles des parents usagers des programmes d’alimentation scolaire. Ainsi, l’analyse des résultats expose une compréhension actualisée de ces capabilités et des caractéristiques socioéconomiques.
