Abstract
Les Relations des Jésuites comptent parmi les sources d’information les plus riches sur la colonisation de la Nouvelle-France. Bien que leur valeur pour les chercheurs soit bien connue, on a prêté peu d’attention à la façon dont des rédacteurs ont modifié les textes à Paris avant de les faire imprimer. Les chercheurs peu nombreux qui ont commenté le travail de ces personnes souvent anonymes ont conclu qu’il n’avait aucune importance. Cet article rassemble les indices disponibles sur le processus éditorial à Paris et soutient que des écrivains et des rédacteurs de la capitale française ont joué un rôle majeur dans l’élaboration des textes.
