Le remodèlement d’emploi, soit les comportements des employés émis afin d’améliorer leur emploi, est lié à de nombreuses résultantes positives au travail. Cette étude vise à déterminer si certaines caractéristiques du travail peuvent favoriser le remodèlement d’emploi, et si celles-ci peuvent avoir un effet au-delà des caractéristiques personnelles des employés. Pour ce faire, 235 employés ont répondu à des questionnaires autorapportés. Les résultats confirment que les caractéristiques de l’emploi, particulièrement la latitude décisionnelle, expliquent une part significative de la variance du remodèlement d’emploi, au-delà de l’effet des caractéristiques personnelles. Ces résultats suggèrent que les employeurs peuvent favoriser le remodèlement d’emploi chez leurs employés, peu importe les caractéristiques individuelles des travailleurs.
