Este artigo busca compreender como a educação infantil está sendo aplicada em um kindergarten localizado na cidade de Backnang, sul da Alemanha. Utilizamos a metodologia da História Oral para dar o aporte na construção da escrita do trabalho de pesquisa. Autores como Thompson (1992) enfatizam que a história não é apenas sobre eventos, ou estruturas, ou padrões de comportamento, mas também sobre como são eles vivenciados e lembrados na imaginação. Nesta perspectiva, os objetivos específicos são: analisar a aprendizagem, os comportamentos sociais e verificar de que forma os ensinamentos pedagógicos estão sendo aplicados nas atividades com independência e a socialização com outras crianças e professores. Trata-se de uma pesquisa social, qualitativa, empírica, de abordagem narrativa que põe em evidencia o trabalho desenvolvido pelo kindergarten alemão.
