Le burnout chez les étudiants universitaires et ses liens avec l’ouverture émotionnelle

Abstract
Cette étude examine les liens entre le traitement affectif – selon le modèle des Dimensions de l’Ouverture Emotionnelle (DOE, Reicherts, 2007) – et les trois composantes du burnout auprès d’un échantillon d’étudiants universitaires. Les résultats des analyses de régressions linéaires indiquent qu’une part importante de l’épuisement émotionnel (selon le concept de burnout développé par Maslach et Jackson, 1986) peut être prédit à partir des divers facteurs du questionnaire DOE, notamment la représentation cognitive, la communication et la régulation des émotions. Des parallèles sont fait avec les recherches postulant que la personnalité joue un rôle dans l’explication des différences interpersonnelles au sujet du burnout ressenti. Les résultats soulignent l’implication du fonctionnement émotionnel du sujet dans le burnout et fournissent une validation croisée de la structure tri-dimensionnelle du Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) adressée à des étudiants.
