O desenvolvimento de processos de fabricação para conformar peças metálicas e que atendam as expectativas atuais da indústria referentes à velocidade da produção, qualidade do acabamento do produto final, além de custo benefício dos processos de fabricação, são de grande interesse das empresas deste segmento. A laminação é conjunto de processos em que se faz o material passar através da abertura entre cilindros que giram, reduzindo a seção transversal. Os produtos podem ser placas, chapas, barras de diferentes seções, trilhos, perfis diversos, anéis e tubos. Ainda, devido à uniformidade da produção, possui um baixo custo de controle gestão de qualidade no produto final. Dessa forma, este trabalho pretende consolidar e aplicar os conhecimentos obtidos em sala de aula referentes ao processo de conformação plástica, com a construção de um protótipo de laminador.
