Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

With Inauspicious Beginnings, the Centre d'etudes des politiques etrangeres et de securite (CEPES) of the Universite du Quebec a Montreal (UQAM) publishes its third collective work with McGill-Queen's University Press and the second in its series of team projects on the major powers and changes in international relations since the end of the Cold War.The first of these projects, published as Role Quests in the Post-Cold War Era, was led by Philippe Le Prestre and dealt with how the collapse of the Soviet Union affected the major powers' own conceptions of the roles they played in the international system. In the present volume, the contributors have continued these reflections by examining how these states have acted through international security organizations since the early 1990s.A third project that is now well underway is looking at the extent to which the principal states within the transatlantic area (including Russia, of course) have reshaped their national identities in response to transformations in the international system that have taken place since the symbolic fall of the Berlin Wall.Inauspicious

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
