Cet article vise à rendre compte de l’évolution des pratiques en établissement médico-social, au travers de réflexions menées en équipe et via des vignettes issues du quotidien. L’objet de l’accompagnement s’est déplacé du groupe à la personne. Dans cette perspective, la question n’est plus de savoir « comment ne pas subir le collectif », mais plutôt de « comment s’en servir » pour mieux le transformer. L’auteur présente ici des modalités institutionnelles favorisant cette évolution au travers du témoignage d’une professionnelle.
