Abstract
Au cours de la dernière décennie, a émergé un mouvement hétéroclite œuvrant à réduire les progrès réalisés en matière de santé, de droits sexuels et reproductifs et d’égalité des sexes dans les pays africains. Composé en partie d’organisations occidentales ultraconservatrices ayant des liens transnationaux étroits, il conçoit des campagnes, désigne des portes-paroles locaux, met en place des bureaux satellites, et fournit financements et formations. Les objectifs de ce mouvement sont généralement la révocation du droit à l’avortement, des droits des LGBTQI et d’une éducation sexuelle complète, ayant des conséquences négatives considérables sur les communautés queer , les femmes et les jeunes. Cet article explore les expressions contemporaines que prennent au Ghana, en Afrique du Sud et au Kenya cette résistance globale et interconnectée. À partir d’une analyse critique des discours décoloniaux mobilisés par des figures conservatrices africaines influencées par les débats politiques en circulation depuis les années 1990, il explique pourquoi la notion d’« idéologie du genre » n’est pas un principe structurant essentiel des luttes contre les droits sexuels et reproductifs dans les trois contextes nationaux étudiés.
