Abstract
L'article s'intéresse aux changements dans le système partisan québécois au niveau provincial à la suite des élections générales de 2007 qui ont conduit à la formation du premier gouvernement minoritaire depuis 1878.Le faible niveau d'appui au Parti québécois ainsi que la montée spectaculaire de l'Action démocratique du Québec ont soulevé des questions sur la présence possible d'un réalignement électoral mettant fin au clivage partisan issu de la Révolution tranquille.La stratégie de vérification de cet article contient à la fois des données quantitatives et qualitatives afin de donner un sens aux résultats électoraux de 2007 et de 2008.Dans un premier temps, les résultats de cette étude démontrent que l'électorat québécois est beaucoup plus volatil depuis 2003.Ensuite, les données recueillies indiquent clairement que les élections générales de 2007 relèvent davantage d'un événement exceptionnel qu'au commencement d'une période de changements menant à un nouveau clivage partisan provincial.
