Bangladesh has long struggled with widespread health inequities, especially those between rural and urban areas.1 The disparities between these 2 locations are significant in terms of the availability of health care and the standard of care. More than 66% of Bangladeshi live in rural areas, where a major problem is the lack of uninterrupted access to health care services.1 Conversely, although access to health care services is generally higher in urban areas, the quality of care is frequently subpar.
