Abstract
Texto curatorial de la última muestra individual del artista contemporáneo Jose Luis Macas Paredes presentada en la galería de arte N24 en Quito, Ecuador. La sostenida investigación-acción del artista en y desde la pacha o tiempo-espacio andino continúa en dos series concebidas para el espacio de la galería: Luminancias y Achikyakushuyu (Dibujos de sol y agua). De la primera serie se analiza la restitución de gráficas y patrones precolombinos relacionados a la astronomía y a la luz como elemento activador. Las dinámicas composiciones también retoman el legado del neoconcreto brasilero. La segunda serie, integrada por dibujos en cianotipia, remite a la sincronía del artista con elementos vitales del mundo andino como son la agencia del sol y del agua. La exhibición se presentó en el marco del Kolla Raymi – Equinoccio de septiembre, festividad que honra al ciclo lunar, a las aguas, y a la fertilidad de la Pacha Mama.
