Abstract
La production de sens est un concept qui a émergé dans le milieu muséal à partir du début du XXIe siècle. On possède maintenant un instrument, « Penser tout haut », qui en permet une étude rigoureuse à partir de ce que dit spontanément un visiteur adulte parcourant une exposition. Cet instrument livre de l’information que l’on peut utiliser pour répondre à une grande diversité de questions. Toutefois, trois dimensions de la production de sens s’avèrent fondamentales et importantes à investiguer : son orientation cognitive, imaginaire et affective ; l’élément précis de l’exposition qui retient l’attention du visiteur et déclenche sa production, et le degré de certitude qui caractérise ce que dit le visiteur, c’est-à-dire sa production de sens.
