TÜRKLERDE GEÇİŞ DÖNEMİ RİTÜELLERİNDE AK/BEYAZ RENK SEMBOLİZMİ ÜZERİNE BİR ÇALIŞMA

Abstract
Doğum, evlilik ve ölüm başta olmak üzere yaşamdaki önemli dönüm noktaları “geçiş dönemi” olarak adlandırılır. İnsan ve toplum için bir eşik sayılan ve temelinde “yeniden doğuş” düşüncesi bulunan bu aşamalarda, kutsal olan ile bağlantı kurularak kut alınmaya ve olumlu bir başlangıç yapılmaya çalışılmaktadır. Türkler ayrıcalıklı görülen bu zamanlarda, kökenleri arkaik düşüncelere dayanan kutlama, törenler düzenleyip ritüeller yapar. “Yeniden doğuş” düşüncesine temellenen geçiş dönemi kutlama, tören ve ritüellerine gerek biçimleri ve yapıldığı maddeler gerekse renkleri ile bu düşünceyi simgeleyen eşya ve nesneler de dahil edilmektedir. Türklerde baş renk olarak bilinen ak/beyaz renk, daima doğaya ait, saf, arınmış ve temiz olma, yücelik anlamları ile bilinmekte ve kutsal olanla ilişkilendirilmektedir. Bu nedenle özellikle doğum, evlilik ve ölüm olmak üzere geçiş dönemi kutlama, tören ve ritüellerinde ak/beyaz renkteki nesneler ve eşyalar tercih edilmekte, bunlar en önemsenen an ve durumlarda belirmektedir. Bu çalışmada ak/beyaz rengin Türk dünya görüşlerindeki yeri ve anlamı incelenecek ve bu renkteki nesne ve eşyaların geçiş dönemi ritüellerinde nasıl ve ne amaçla kullanıldığı belirlenmeye çalışılacaktır. Konuyla bağlantılı olarak Türk anlatılarının bölümlerinden ilgili örnekler verilerek, rengin Türk mitolojisinde ne şekilde yer aldığı tespit edilecektir.
