Abstract
ÁREA TEMÁTICA: Atenção à Saúde. INTRODUÇÃOA diabetes mellitus do tipo II, DM2 é uma doença crônica metabólica que compromete a fisiologia humana e como consequência a Qualidade Vida (QV) dos pacientes acometidos por esta patologia.Assim, observa-se em diversos estudos a fragilidade em vários domínios avaliados pelos diversos protocolos de QV, que demonstram elevado sofrimento emocional e baixa aderência ao autocuidado (BERNINI et al. 2017).A patologia pode acometer tanto adultos quanto crianças, isso requer um autocuidado em todas as fases da vida do paciente e pode apresentar diversos sintomas, que vão desde leves e até assintomáticos na fase inicial, e contribui com que o diagnóstico da patologia seja demorado.Portanto é necessária uma discussão mais ampla e eficaz sobre os impactos a QV do paciente com DM2.Igualmente como atividades educacionais que possam orientá-lo na busca de estratégias que possam contribuir com a QV do paciente diabético (VIEIRA et al.,2017)
