Elvira Hernández y su Seudoaraucana: una re-escritura insurrecta de La Araucana

Abstract
Este artículo se concentra en ver cómo Elvira Hernández reescribe La Araucana bajo la impronta de una pseudología poético-narrativa como estrategia literario-cultural y político-étnica. Dos son las instancias analizadas: a) la reescritura “seudo” de La Araucana la imita y la denuncia a la vez, pues cada poema de Hernández reescribe pasajes del poema de Ercilla y, a la vez, los expone en su mitografía europeizante, vistos desde el presente y haciendo el mismo viaje a la Araucanía; b) un viaje que, en el caso de Hernández, es a los propios orígenes de la poeta, por lo que (el cuerpo de) la voz poética, situada frente a la tradición del texto y a su rol en la cultura nacional, asume como “seudoaraucana” el legado cultural y étnico de la identidad mapuche en un tiempo en que eso resulta contestatario para el status quo de la sociedad chilena.
