Abstract
O Mato Grosso, principal estado produtor de grãos, apresenta um déficit logístico que reduz a sua competitividade. A expansão do sistema ferroviário na região é fundamental para redução dos seus custos logísticos e fortalecimento da competitividade. O objetivo desta pesquisa foi realizar uma análise de demanda dos corredores multimodais de exportação de grãos, envolvendo o corredor atual de Rondonópolis para Santos, bem como, analisar a demanda de três projetos futuros em discussão, envolvendo: a criação da Ferrogrão, a expansão da ferrovia Malha Norte e a construção da Ferrovia Paraense. O principal resultou ilustrou que os corredores de Rondonópolis, Ferrogrão e Malha Norte são importantes para redução dos custos, entretanto, é fundamental a redução dos preços dos fretes ferroviários para expandir a demanda nos corredores.
