Organic mechanochromic luminescence‐based visualization of fatigue damage and life prediction of aluminum to steel resistance spot welds
Bibliographic record
Abstract
Abstract Dissimilar material joined structures are increasingly used in the automotive industry to reduce weight in the vehicle body structure for better fuel economy. Therefore, it is necessary to reveal the fatigue damage and develop the fatigue life prediction method of dissimilar material joined structures. Unlike conventional detection methods, mechanoresponsive luminogen‐based method can directly visualize stress distribution and fatigue crack growth. An organic mechanochromic luminescence material (TPE‐4N) is therefore used to detect the fatigue damage of coach peel Al‐steel resistance spot welds. The fatigue crack initiation and propagation are detected as visible green fluorescence under ultraviolet excitation. The results show that the fluorescence intensity increases linearly in the early stage of fatigue cycles while grows much faster in the specimen with lower fatigue life. A new fatigue life prediction method has been developed based on the response of fluorescence intensity.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one teacher head, not a consensus.
