Abstract
Cet article traite de l’affaire CHOI Radio-X, et ce, de l’arrivée de la radio-poubelle (trash radio) sur le continent américain jusqu’à sa propagation au Québec et au mouvement "Liberté je crie ton nom partout". Notre analyse propose d’abord une mise en situation des évènements ayant conduit à la grande manifestation du 22 juillet 2004, puis aborde la construction du groupe "X" et de ses traits identitaires distinctifs. Par la suite, cela nous mène à nous interroger sur la réception de ce discours, laquelle serait facilitée par des prédispositions sociologiques de la grande région de Québec (mystère de Québec), des prédispositions générationnelles des Ixiens frustrés par les Boomers et des prédispositions idéologiques via l’apparition, sur la scène provinciale, de philosophies à tendances américanophiles (libertarianisme, populisme, etc.). Enfin, nous nous questionnons, en dernier lieu, sur la réelle importance du discours de Jeff Fillion dans la formation de ce mouvement.
