AVALIAÇÃO DA REMOÇÃO DE MANCHA DE OXIDAÇÃO POR MEIO DA UTILIZAÇÃO DE SOLUÇÃO REMOVEDORA DE MANCHAS EM QUARTZITO VANCOUVER

Abstract
As manchas de oxidação representam uma patologia cromática que provoca uma desvalorização comercial do material pétreo. A presença das manchas de oxidação do quartzito Vancouver pode estar relacionada à presença de minerais de óxido/hidróxido de ferro, presentes como minerais secundários na rocha. A partir deste problema, estudaram-se métodos para remoção destas manchas utilizando soluções ácidas em diferentes metodologias, tais como: aplicação na superfície da chapa e imersão da chapa em tanque com solução removedora de manchas. A interação das soluções removedoras de manchas com a rocha foi analisada por meio de análise computacional com o software ImageJ e análise de brilho com o medidor de brilho NovoGloss. O objetivo foi avaliar o resultado da remoção das manchas entre as diferentes metodologias de tratamento. De acordo com o trabalho, o tratamento com aplicação de ácido na chapa apresentou um melhor resultado de brilho, apresentando variação positiva no brilho em 9 das 12 amostras. De acordo com a análise computacional, o tratamento com a imersão da chapa apresentou um melhor resultado quando o parâmetro avaliado foi variação no clareamento. Contudo, o tratamento com aplicação da solução removedora de manchas na superfície da chapa apresentou um melhor resultado quando o parâmetro avaliado foi o número de amostras clareadas. Diante do comentado, foi possível notar que o tratamento por imersão apresentou um melhor resultado na remoção das manchas.
