Abstract
Thinking about the impact of new technology on production values, I thought it would be interesting to see the particular opportunities and challenges that these new tools provide. For the most part it is the larger, more affluent companies that are able to make use of the latest and greatest gizmos. When I contacted David Feheley, technical director of the Canadian Opera Company, he offered a perfect case study. The Opera was planning to remount its own 1992 production of Alban Berg’s Wozzeck.
