Abstract
In his editorial to Canadian Theatre Review 44, a special issue on “Alternatives,” Robert Wallace wrote, “Although dinner theatre has increased in popularity across the country so that it now commands a major portion of the theatre-going public, it still is ignored or dismissed by most reviewers, a fact that Reg Skene’s article on the Winnipeg franchise of Stage West reveals is unfortunate” (4). More than twenty years later, Skene’s contribution to the CTR issue remains a rare discussion of dinner theatre in a Canadian city.
