Abstract
Diabetes mellitus merupakan penyakit yang tidak menular yang menimbulkan angka kesakitan dan kematian yang tinggi. Oleh karena itu diabetes mellitus memerlukan upaya penangganan, dan pengobatan yang tepat dan serius seperti manajemen diet, latihan fisik, terapi pengobatan, pendidikan kesehatan, dan pemeriksaan guka darah secara teratur. Tujuannya adalah mengetahui hubungan kepatuhan diet dengan kualitas hidup diabetes mellitus tipe 2. Diabetes Melitus merupakan salah satu penyakit degenertif bersifat kronik dengan kondisi gula darah sewaktu lebih 140g/dl. Kualitas hidup adalah persepsi individu dalam hidup yang dapat ditinjau dari konteks budaya dan sistem nilai individu yang berhubungan dengan standar hidup. Desain penelitian ini adalah korelasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi penelitian ini adalah pasien diabetes mellitus tipe 2 di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Baros Kota Sukabumi dengan sampel sebanyak 106 responden yang diambil secara proporsional random sampling. Analisa data menggunakan analisa univariat dengan distribusi frekuensi dan presentase setiap kategori, analisa bivariat menggunakan uji somer’sd. Hasil penelitian chi-squere dengan (α = 0,05) didapatkan p value = 0,022 yang artinya ada hubungan kepatuhan diet dengan kualitas hidup diabetes mellitus tipe 2. Ada hubungan kepatuhan diet dengan kualitas hidup diabetes mellitus tipe 2 di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Baros Kota Sukabumi. Diharapkan Puskesmas dapat memberikan pendidikan kesehatan, khususnya pada pasien yang mengalami keputusasaan. Selain itu perawat juga dapat mendeteksi dini masalah keperawatan yang di alami pasien dan dapat memberikan intervensi yang tepat sehingga tidak mengarah pada kondisi depresi karena mengalami keputusasaan.
