En la Era Moderna española los eruditos mantienen una distinción entre ciencia y arte para las disciplinas que se estudiaban. La ciencia es propia de los campos más definidos y concretos, mientras que el arte se plantea como un conjunto de reglas para hacer las cosas bien. Bajo esta concepción se conciben como artes disciplinas tales como la Economía. Este artículo presenta la visión artística de la Economía, en general, y de la Contabilidad, en particular, y su evolución hasta el presente.
