Abstract
Мета дослідження. У статті аналізується мотив Вознесіння та Падіння, Світла та Темряви на сторінках видатної давньоукраїнської літературної пам’ятки – Києво-Печерського патерика. Також звертається увага на запозичення окремих сюжетів Києво-Печерського патерика з інших, більш давніших християнських літературних пам’яток і творів. Методологічні засади дослідження ґрунтуються на принципах наукової об’єктивності, системності та діалектичному підході.Відповідно до поставленої мети й завдань використано сукупність загальнонаукових, міждисциплінарних, спеціальних методів дослідження. Наукова новизна. Шляхом аналізу тексту простежується вживання мотиву Вознесіння та Падіння, Світла та Темряви на сторінках твору. Як зазначено в ключовому розділі цієї агіографічної пам’ятки (слово / глава 14), лише зречення мирських цінностей відкриває подвижнику шлях до Спасіння. Автор доходить висновку, що ключ до Патерика міститься в 14-му розділі Послання Симона до Полікарпа, в якому освячується інверсія цінностей, властива зреченню від світу. Саме через аскетичне самоприниження людина підноситься до Неба, і саме з темряви печерної випромінюється Світло Спасіння. Водночас у процесі вивчення та перекладу цієї давньоукраїнської літературної пам’ятки важливе значення набуває виявлення джерел, використаних при її створенні. В окремих сюжетах Києво-Печерського патерика простежуються впливи та запозичення з відомого твору візантійської аскетичної писемності «Ліствиця», написаного наприкінці VI ст. християнським духовним письменником та ігуменом Синайського монастирясвятим Іоаном Ліствичником.
