Abstract

O artigo analisa a obra El callejón oscuro, da escritora paraguaia Susana Gertopán (2010). Descendentes de judeus, a escritora representa, em sua narrativa literária, a contextualização histórico-cultural sobre a chegada dos imigrantes judeus no Paraguai e como eles se adaptaram à cultura latino-americana. Neste processo de construção de identidades culturais, os conceitos de diáspora e de entre-lugar são fundamentais. Portanto, a análise aqui apresentada dialoga com os estudiosos e teóricos Stuart Hall (2015); Juliana R. Cancian (2007) e Homi K. Bhabha (2013). A abordagem metodológica se pauta na pesquisa bibliográfica e, a partir dela, buscamos compreender como a construção das personagens e do enredo dão visibilidade a estes sujeitos forçados a deixar sua pátria e a maneira complexa com que dialogam com o novo espaço de morado.
