Abstract
Bu makalede Hz. Peygamber döneminde başlayan ve onun vefatı sonrasında büyük bir ivme kazanarak devam eden dinden çıkma olaylarında Benî Hanîfe kabilesinin rolü üzerinde durulmuştur. İslâm’ın ortaya çıktığı dönemde Benî Hanîfe gibi bazı büyük kabileler Orta Arabistan’da yer alan Yemâme’de yaşıyorlardı. Bölgede İslâm’ın yayılmasıyla birlikte Benî Hanîfe de İslâm’ı kabul ettiğini deklare etmiştir. Ancak özellikle Resûlullah’ın vefatından önceki ağır hastalığı sırasında Medine’deki otoriteyi tanımayan gruplar ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu grupların ortaya çıkmasında kabileler arası rekabet gibi sosyolojik etkenler ve zekât vermekten kaçınmak gibi iktisadî sebepler etkili olmuştur. Benî Hanîfe kabilesine mensup olan Müseylime’nin peygamberlik iddiasının arka planında da bu sebepler bulunmaktadır. Benî Hanîfe kabilesi de aynı saiklerle Müseylime’nin arkasında durmuş ve bölgeye ulaşan Müslüman ordusuna şiddetli bir şekilde direnmişlerdir. Hz. Peygamber döneminde peygamberlik iddia etmiş olsa da Müseylime ile asıl mücadele Hz. Ebû Bekir döneminde gerçekleşmiştir. Gün geçtikçe güçlenen ve etkilediği insan sayısı artan Müseylime’nin üzerine Hâlid b. Velîd ve ordusu gönderilmiştir. Müslümanlar ile Müseylime’ye inanan grup arasında meydana gelen Akrabâ Savaşı’nda Müslümanlar galip gelmiştir.
