Abstract

O presente artigo descreve o diagnóstico de megaesôfago e pneumonia por broncoaspiração em um cão da raça Labrador Retriever. Foram realizados exames radiográficos simples e contrastados utilizando sulfato de bário para avaliar o esôfago e identificar possíveis complicações pulmonares. Os resultados radiográficos confirmaram a presença de dilatação esofágica e deslocamento ventral da traquéia, características comuns em pacientes com megaesôfago. Além disso, foi evidenciada a presença de pneumonia por broncoaspiração. O artigo ressalta a importância do diagnóstico precoce do megaesôfago, bem como o tratamento adequado das complicações pulmonares para melhorar a qualidade de vida do animal.
