Abstract
As mulheres nem sempre ocuparam um local secundário, as mulheres dos Patriarcas do Antigo Testamento eram as Matriarcas e respeitadas de igual forma, elas eram ouvidas e admiradas conforme descreve Kochmann (2005). Na antiguidade as mulheres também já ocuparam lugar de protagonismo e os homens ocuparam posição secundária de acordo Silva e Londero (2017). Mas é em um contexto de opressão social e restrições quanto a religiosidade que a mulher palestina se encontra, o mundo androcêntrico e o patriarcalismo como parte de sistema de dominação e exploração romana que estão as mulheres no Novo Testamento, a margem da sociedade (SOUZA, 2014). Porém quando Jesus surge e lidera um movimento renovador a mulher sai do anonimato e como descrito no final do evangelho de Marcos e de acordo a história da Igreja ela passa também a compor o corpo de liderança da Igreja. Este trabalho tem por finalidade fazer uma reflexão sobre a importância da mulher no cristianismo primitivo.
