Abstract
Este estudo tem como objetivo compreender a gestão ecológica responsável da Terra Indígena Andirá-Marau, localizada na área do baixo Amazonas brasileira, a partir da utilização da certificação ambiental Forest Garden Products (FGP) como método de produção artesanal da sociobiodiversidade e da agroecologia na Amazônia. A metodologia aplicada nesta pesquisa está dividida entre bibliográfica e documental. Pela sua natureza, a pesquisa se enquadra como aplicada e, do ponto de vista de seus objetivos, ela se caracteriza por ser descritiva. Quanto a sua abordagem, esta será qualitativa com o uso do método indutivo. Com adoção deste método, foi possível observar e descrever a cadeia produtiva sustentável do povo Sateré voltada para a certificação da biodiversidade. Obteve-se os seguintes resultados a partir da implementação da certificação FGP: foi possível constatar a produção de bens florestais e, mesmo assim, os produtores indígenas, conseguiram minimizar os fatores que degradam o meio ambiente, auxiliando os aspectos econômicos, sociais, culturais e ambientais, possibilitando um futuro sustentável para as próximas gerações.
