Abstract
Cet article explore le lien affectif à l’élève en enseignement au préscolaire et au primaire. Il fusionne une théorie du travail vivant et une perspective féministe (la sociologie des rapports sociaux de sexe) afin de comprendre et conceptualiser une part invisible de travail sur lequel repose le lien affectif à l’élève : le travail de care. La méthodologie est basée sur une recherche qualitative incluant des entretiens individuels et de groupe. L’échantillon inclut 25 enseignantes du préscolaire et du primaire. D’une part, cette étude soulève des tensions alors que le lien affectif à l’élève est à la fois désiré et valorisé par les enseignantes, mais aussi obligatoire, inscrivant implicitement le travail de care à même la mission de l’école québécoise. D’autre part, cette étude conceptualise le care en tant que travail et permet d’inscrire le travail invisible de care à même des rapports sociaux de sexe en enseignement.
