Abstract
ABSTRAK Tujuan Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk mendampingi pelaksanaan program Sekolah Minggu Buddhis (SMB) di provinsi sumatera utara, di antaranya adalah (1) Menjembatani antara Majelis Buddhayana Indonesia (MBI) Prov. Sumatera Utara, Ikatan Pembina Gelanggang Anak Buddhis Indonesia (IPGABI) Prov. Sumatera Utara, dan Sekolah Minggu Buddha (SMB) binaannya dengan Bimas Buddha Kantor Wilayah Kementerian Agama Provinsi Sumatera Utara agar diperoleh akar masalah tidak terdaftarnya SMB tersebut dan memperoleh jalan keluar untuk ditindak lanjuti oleh para pihak. (2) SMB se-Sumatera Utara menerapkan Kurikulum SMB dari Ditjen Bimas Buddha Kementerian Agama RI. (3) Seluruh Guru SMB mendapatkan pendidikan dan pelatihan kompetensi untuk menunjang kemampuan pencapaian kurikulum. Proses metode pelaksanaannya melalui beberapa tahapan yaitu Diskusi Panel, Focus Group Discusion, Workshop dan Pendampingan. Hasil pelaksanaan program adalah (1) Telah ditemukan akar masalah tidak terdaftarnya SMB di bawah pembinaan MBI, dan diperoleh kesepahaman antara pihak-pihak yang terlibat (Bimas Buddha Kantor Wilayah Kementerian Agama Provinsi Sumatera Utara, MBI Provinsi Sumatera Utara, IPGABI dan SMB) untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan ini. hal ini dibuktikan dengan telah ada dua SMB yang melakukan pendaftaran. Disusul SMB lain apabila dokumen telah dilengkapi. (2) Kurikulum SMB telah disosialisasikan dan diterapkan dalam proses belajar mengajar di seluruh SMB yang mengikuti workshop. (3) 90 % guru (54 orang dari total 60 orang) telah mengikuti workshop pelatihan kurikulum dan kompetensi Guru, serta terdapat lebih 50 orang peserta ( 92%) yang memperlihatkan peningkatan pemahaman yang signifikan, dan Terdapat 4 orang peserta (8 %) yang masih belum memperlihatkan peningkatan.
