Abstract
Current treatment options for patients with obstructive sleep apnea include continuous positive airway pressure, oral appliance therapy, behavioral management, and adjunctive therapies that include orofacial myofunctional therapy (OMT).Certain dental appliances used for OMT can be worn at night and include components to encourage proper tongue and lip placement, important components in OMT.This case report describes the use of a passive OMT appliance in the successful treatment of a patient with moderate obstruct ive sleep apnea.
