Abstract
Au Québec, l’égalité femmes-hommes a été au cœur des débats sur la laïcité, en occultant le féminisme religieux, bien qu’il constitue un héritage dont la réappropriation permet de concevoir une laïcité radicale. L’autrice présente d’abord la concrétude de cet héritage et des éléments du contexte menant à son refus. Puis elle expose la position du Conseil du statut de la femme, négatrice de cet héritage. Ce refus a conduit le Conseil à défendre une vision androcentrique de la laïcité, laissant intacte la liberté religieuse des hommes de dominer les femmes dans l’Église catholique. L’autrice préconise la réappropriation de l’héritage féministe religieux afin d’ouvrir de nouvelles possibilités.
